Lost Ourselves in Hainan Island Paradise Tour

On May 21, my wife and I began our Hainan Island honeymoon tour including Haikou and Sanya two destinations. Started our Hainan trip from Guilin airport and flew for 1 hour from 21:40 to 22:40, we had arrived in Hainan Meilan Airport in Haikou city. In this China holiday, our friends had already waited for us at the airport and helped us to get the hotel. All of us were very excited and moving because we have not seen each others for so long a time. But our tired bodies were not allowed us to talk with each other in the late night, so we had to say goodbye to them. We still could spend some days with them because they would company with us to do sightseeing and travel in Hainan together.

In the next day, after our breakfast, we continued our China holiday with a transferring to our second destination – Sanya. Thanks to the new transport vehicle – multiple unit train which can cut down our transport time from 4 hours to 1.5 hours. The maximum speed of multiple unit train is 250 miles / hour. So we arrived at one of the most beautiful cities in China – Sanya. After a delicious meal in the local restaurant, we began our Sanya tour from the famous scenic spot – Nanshan Temple. The Nanshan Temple is the home of the world tallest “Guanyin”, the goddess of infinite compassion and mercy in Buddhism. The grandiose statue of Buddasava stands tall at a height of 108 meters overlooking the waters of the South China Sea in front of Nanshan Mountain, which took a total of 6 years to construct. The Nanshan Mountain is also believed to be the auspicious mountain of longevity in Chinese mythology. Take this opportunity to visit the tallest ‘Guanyin' in the world here at Sanya.

On the third day, another popular attraction Tropical Paradise Forest Park in Yalong Bay. This new attraction became famous because it served as one of the main scenes in the popular Chinese movie “If You Are the One 2” which was the work of the famous director Feng Xiaogang. Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park is located 25 kilometers away from Sanya. Covering an area of 1,506 hectares, the park surrounds the Yalongwan National Tourist Resort. With its rich astronomical phenomena, hydrological and cultural resources, the park is positioned as the world-class eco-tourism and eco-resort forest park. The movie If You Are The One 2 was shot in the tropical city of Sanya in Hainan Province. The amazing Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park attracts moviegoers much more than the story itself. It is the first forest park in Hainan built according to the standard of the National Forest Park. The vegetation type is mainly of tropical rain forest. It is rich in biological, geographical, astronomical, water and human resources. Visitor can go there for mountain climbing, survival training, mere tourism, health preserving, science education and folk culture experience.

On the forth day, we had visited the most famous scenic spot in Sanya – The End of the Earth. The End of the Earth (‘tian ya hai jiao' ) means “the end of the sky and the corner of the sea” in Chinese. The reason this name was given is that this place was the farthest place ancient Chinese people could reach, so it was considered as the end of the sky and the corner of the sea.

 
In our fifth day trip, we just went back to Haikou from Sanya City. A Haikou city tour was arranged. We had a joyful day by touring around the city attractions, the prosperous commercial streets, the local and characteristics restaurant and the special snack streets. Although we felt tired after one-day city trip in Haikou, we were still excited because we had a memorable day in this tropical city.

We just finished our Hainan honey moon tour in the sixth day and came back to Guilin with fruitful results.
