Best Places to Visit in Anshun

Huangguoshu Waterfall

Located in the boarder area of Zhenning County and Guanling County, Huangguoshu Waterfall is known as “the first waterfall in China”, with the most impressive having a width of 81 meter and dropping 74 meter.

Like the Milky Way descending from the heaven, the Huangguoshu Waterfall rushes into the Xiniu pond, sending foams up by 100 meters, and roars can be heard kilometers away. With typical karst topography, the area around the Huangguoshu Waterfall boasts a cluster of fascinatin water-eroded caves.

The best place is Little Moon Stage (Xiao Yue Tai) behind Water-Curtain Cave (Shui Lian Dong) where you could see it, touch it and enjoy it. Between nine o'clock to eleven o'clock every morning in clear days, you may see a rainbow, sometimes you may see two.

Tianlong Village

Tianlong Village is one of these ancient Tun-Bao settlements built during the reign of Emperor Hongwu by the descendants of the soldiers of the expeditionary troops of the Ming Dynasty, where locals still wear the old-style clothes of that time and keep most of the cultural traditions of the Ming Dynasty. This shows the Han's early migration from Central China to this mountainous area. You can see a similar life style to that of Central China. Dragon Palace Scenic Area

Located in the southwest part of Anshun about 32 kilometers, the Dragon Palace Cave Scenic Area is famous for over 90 fabulous caves and uncountable amazing waterfalls inside. When you enter in those various caves, you will feel like that you are going to visit the palace for Dragon King living under the water in Chinese tales and myths.

Tianxingqiao Scenic Resort

Tianxingqiao Scenic Resort is located six kilometers away from Huangguoshu Waterfall. South to Zhonghua East Road, north to Anshun No.1 Middle School, east to Hongshanhu Road and west to Zhonghua North Road, Anshun Ancient City was built in Ming Dynasty(1381), which is located in the center of the city. There are 151 historical building in the Ancient Ancient City. At Anshun Ancient City, you can see rivers, temples, traditional buildings and stores. At day, you can stroll around the ancient city and taste the local cuisines. At night, you can enjoy the night view of the ancient city.

Best Time to Visit Anshun

The best time to visit Anshun will depend on your preference. If you want to visit the Huangguoshu Waterfall, it is recommended that you visit Anshun from June to August, when is the high flow period of the waterfall. If you plan to visit Dragon Palace, it is recommended that you visit Anshun from April to October with comfortable weather.
