Best place to admire the beautiful landscape of both Ethnic minority villages and rice terrace fields
Longji Old Village has preserved many historical relics: Hundreds of blue flagstone paths and beautifully carved blue flagstone bridge; the big blue flagstone Gate of the village built in the eight year of Guangxu Period in Qing Dynasty; the Taiping Qing Vat using for fire protection is still preserved very well today. In the middle of the village, there is a Longquan Well with a stone dragon carved on the mouth of the well. A old taxus chinensis here is already over 200 years old and still can grow bunches of red beans. National key protective ancient tree, the big camphor tree here is over 300 years old and still a shelter for local people.
Longji Old Village is the origin of Zhuang terrace field. It has a very long history. In Qing Dynasty, it is famous for abounds in tea. The highest altitude of Longji Old Village Cultural Terrace Field is 1300 m, and the lowest is 350 m. The terrace fields here are in large scale and very magnificent like a long giant dragon. Now there are three scenic spots: “The First Rice Terrace”, “Floating Dragons to the River”, and ‘Slender Ditch”.

Longji Old Village Terraced Fields is the birth place of Zhuang Terraced Field and also where the First Rice Terrace is located. At this spot, you can side view the whole Longji Old Village. Layers of Rice Terraces just like annual ring year by year, which reminds people that ancestors hard working on this land. Through more than dozen of generations' hard working, the miracle of the rice terraces was created.
