Hangzhou Culture Private Day Tour: Qinghefang & Museums

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby in the morning and begin at Qinghefang Street , where Ming- and Qing-style streets recall historic Hangzhou. Continue to Huqingyu Traditional Pharmacy for an introduction to traditional Chinese medicine. Continue to The Former Residence of Hu Xueyan, who was the wealthiest businessman in the late Qing Dynasty in China. The residence is distinguished by detailed wood, stone and brick carving. The last stop of today culture survey is Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum, a ceramics museum displaying relics from the Jiaotanxia Southern Song imperial kiln.

After the visits, return by road to Hangzhou after the visits.

Qinghefang Street developed into one of Hangzhou's busiest historic districts. From the Southern Song dynasty onward, its shops and restaurants helped make the area a political, cultural and commercial center. Qinghefang Street lies on the foot of the Wushan Hill at the southern end of Yan'an Road, south of Hangzhou with just a few hundreds meters away from the beautiful West Lake and it occupies an area of 13 hectares with a length of about 460 m. 

Hu Qingyu's Traditional Pharmacy stands at the foot of Wushan Hill in Hangzhou. Based in the historic buildings of the Hu Qing Yu Tang pharmaceutical factory, this state-level professional museum combines traditional architecture with a collection presenting the science and techniques of Chinese medicine.
