Mt. Huashan, known as the ‘Western Great Mountain,' is one of China's Five Great Mountains. It lies in Weinan and Huayin, Shaanxi Province, 120 kilometers east of Xi'an, south of the Qinling Mountains and north of the Yellow and Wei rivers, at the gateway between the Great Northwest and the Central Plains. Mount Huashan was included in the first group of national key scenic areas and is presented here among China's top ten famous mountains. In 2010, the National Tourism Administration rated it an AAAAA National Scenic Area.
