Meet the charming Tibetan Village – Sichuan Danba

I have come back from Danba for a period of time, but after I returning to busy real life, my heart spontaneously migrate to Danba. Danba is located in a Tibetan autonomous county in Sichuan province and it is the Jiarong Tibetan settlements. Danba Village is regarded as China's most beautiful ancient village. In the territory of Danba, there are many nice, style and features of primitive simplicity and little-known local vernacular dwellings. Danba's beauty is rich and beyond imagination; here the Tibetan village, Diaolou, holy mountain and the legendary “East Female Country” relic; all need us to stay down, and take some time, pour into some feelings, to appropriate this charming village.

Holy mountain in Danba People's heart: Moerduo Mountain

The sun shines the middle Tibetan stockaded village, which is located under the Moerduo Mountain. Several house buildings in a beautiful appearance and unified style are built in accordance with the rolling mountain, the high and the low, well-arranged along with the dense wood and clear brook, pure white snow peak, constituting a series of arcadian beautiful countryside picture scrolls. The foreigners here compared this village to the east “Small Switzerland”.

Danba is known as the “A country with thousand Diaolou”, the reason is that there are thousands of various Diaolou seating in the greatly small villages in Danba. Suopo stockaded village has the most Diaolou in Danba.

This is a very quiet temple called Song'an Temple, which is located in Danba Bawang. According to the lama in this temple, this is a gelu sect of tibetan buddhism monastery, having more than thousand years history, moved from Tibet to Danba.
