My Disney Memories

Carla called today and told me the news about the birth of her second child. Carla is my close friend and our pleasant conversation over the phone draw me back to the time when we were working together at Disney World 13 years ago. That is sure a good memory in my life.
 

In 1996, I started working at Disney World in Orlando, USA for a one-year government exchange program. This program involves working, learning and living experience. Students from 11 countries are enrolled in this program. We work together, as each individual country cultrue representive, rotating in different departments at Disney, such as Guest Relations, Special Events, and so on. We hold seminar every week, listening to lectures given by senior managers from different departments about the management theory from Disney. We live together, 6 people from 6 different countries sharing one apartment, and we have fun and party together. We are just like a big family, taking care of each other and learning from each other…

 

 

At Disney, we are not employees, we are cast members. As once we are in the park, we are on stage and ready to presend the wonderful show to the audience, our customers.
