Arrive in Guiyang, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to settle in before the Guizhou journey begins.

After breakfast, visit Zhijin Cave, one of China's largest karst caves and Guizhou's first UNESCO Global Geopark, approved on September 19, 2015. Continue to Tianlong Village in Anshun to see its stone architecture and the local Dixi Opera tradition, then stay overnight in Anshun.

In the morning, travel to see Huangguoshu Waterfall , identified on this itinerary as Asia's largest waterfall. Continue nearby to Tianxingqiao Scenic Resort , where water, rock formations, forest and caves shape the scenic walking area. Return to the Anshun hotel for the night.

On the road from Huangguoshu to Xingyi, cross two major engineering landmarks: Balinghe River Bridge and Huajiang Canyon Bridge.

Rising 1,214 feet (370 meters) from deck to water, the Balinghe River Bridge is listed here as China's 15th-highest bridge. It stands near Guanling on the 300-mile (483 km) G60 Hukun expressway between Guiyang and Kunming. Visit the nearby bridge museum to understand why Guizhou is known as the “Museum of Bridges” and how construction technology has developed for the province's mountainous terrain.

Balinghe River Bridge

Huajiang Canyon Bridge opened to traffic on September 28, 2025. The structure is described as the world's highest bridge and the longest-span bridge in a mountainous valley, standing 625 meters above the river with 1,420 meters between its two main towers. Construction took three years and eight months. Afterwards, drive about two hours to Xingyi.

After breakfast, explore the karst landscapes around Xingyi. Begin at Wanfenglin (Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks), whose clustered limestone peaks form one of the area's defining views. Continue to the Maling River Canyon for the scheduled two-hour trek through Tianxing Gallery , then return to the hotel.

Today, cruise on Wanfeng Lake and visit the castle on one of its islands. This artificial lake lies among karst peaks, with rivers, caves, farmland and minority villages forming part of Xingyi National Geopark. Wanfeng Lake, Wanfeng Forest and Wanfenghe Valley are presented together as Xingyi's three principal scenic areas.

Afterwards, drive about four hours to Pingtang, the base for visiting FAST, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope. Stay overnight in Pingtang.

Wangfeng Lake

After breakfast, visit FAST, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope, also known as the “Skye Eye”. This Chinese science project began in 2011 and achieved first light in September 2016. Take the approximately 40-minute shuttle to the viewing platform for an overhead view of the telescope. You may also choose to visit the International Experience Planetarium for its astronomy displays. Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant during the tour.

Notice:

• Passport is needed when purchasing entrance ticket.
• In order to minimum extra radio interferences with the telescope and for its accuracy in functions, cell phones, cameras, interphones and all sorts of unnecessary electronic devices are not allowed in the site. Visitors are requested to store them in deposit center once they arrive at the gate of this scenic area.
• To reduce human gathering inferences, 2000 persons is the maximum limitation of tourists it can accept each day.

Continue toward Libo with a stop at Pingtang Bridge, , also known as the “Bridge of the Sky.” Carrying the Pingtang–Luodian Expressway over the Caodu River valley, the bridge stands 1,089 feet high and is identified here as the world's third-tallest. Construction began on April 29, 2016, and the bridge opened to traffic on December 30, 2019.

After lunch, enter the protected landscape of Xiao Qi Kong, named for its 小七孔: Small Seven Holes Bridge on the Xiangshui River. The bridge once stood on a trade route linking the area with Guangxi and onward exchanges in Southeast Asia. Continue through the reserve's forests, waterfalls and mountains.

After the visit, drive approximately 2.5 hours to Xijiang.

Xijiang Qianhu (西江千户: Thousands Families in Xijiang) is described as China's largest Miao village. Check in at the hotel overlooking the settlement, then use your free time to walk through the lanes, meet local residents and see traditional batik handicrafts.

Xiaoqikong

Accommodation: In Guiyang

Begin with a quieter morning walk through the village before the main visitor period. Leave Xijiang after breakfast and continue to Lande Upper Miao Village, known for its folk song and dance traditions. Spend time with the village's Miao culture and mountain setting, then drive back to Guiyang for the overnight stay.
