Beijing City View

Meet your guide at the hotel and begin at the Temple of Heaven, where imperial ceremonies once focused on prayers for good harvests. The surrounding grounds also offer a look at residents exercising, dancing and playing games in the morning.

Continue by rickshaw through the Beijing Hutong and visit a local family for a closer look at life within Beijing's traditional lanes.

Stop for an à la carte Chinese lunch at a local restaurant.

Cross Tian'anmen Square and enter the adjacent Forbidden City. Spend more than two hours exploring its palace halls, courtyards and collections as your guide explains the lives of the imperial family. Return to the hotel after the visit.

Note:  At night, alively and dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater or the Acrobatic Show can be your optional night entertainment.

Leave the hotel early for the roughly two-hour drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. Walk along this historic section of the Great Wall; round-trip cable-car tickets are included.

After an à la carte lunch near the wall, drive back to Beijing and stop outside the Bird Nest and Water Cube for photographs. Return to the hotel, and ask your guide for a Peking roast duck restaurant recommendation if needed.

Check out and spend the morning at the Summer Palace, exploring the imperial garden around Longevity Hill, Kunming Lake and the painted Long Corridor.

Have an à la carte lunch en route to Beijing West Railway Station, then take the second-class high-speed train to Xi'an (about 5–5.5 hours). Your Xi'an guide will meet you at the station and transfer you to the hotel.

Start the Xi'an program on the Xi'an City Wall, with the choice to walk or rent a bicycle at your own expense.

Drive toward the Terracotta Warriors, pausing at a cave-dwelling pottery workshop to learn how miniature figures are produced. After lunch nearby, explore the excavated ranks of soldiers, horses and chariots.

Return downtown for a walk around Bell Tower Square , where historic surroundings meet daily city life, then transfer back to the hotel.

Note: You could ask your local guide for some information about evening entertainment or night show, such as Tang Dynasty Show.

Transfer to the airport in the morning and fly to Lhasa. After the scheduled midday arrival, meet the local guide and wait, if necessary, for the shared transfer before continuing to the hotel.

Good to know: For a first visit to Tibet, use the arrival day for rest and gradual acclimatization. Walk slowly, avoid running or jumping, and tell your guide promptly if you feel unwell.

Lhasa City View

Visit Drepung Monastery, once home to more than 10,000 monks and one of the highest-ranking monasteries of the Gelug tradition. Its white buildings spread across the hillside above Lhasa.

In the afternoon, explore the Tibet Museum for displays on Tibetan clothing, homes, festivals and daily life. Continue to Norbulingka, the Tibetan-style garden historically used as a summer residence by the Dalai Lamas.

By the third day in Lhasa, continue the gradual pace with a morning visit to the Potala Palace . Spend approximately two to three hours inside the former winter residence, seeing its gilded burial stupas and historic meditation cave, then walk the pilgrimage circuit outside.

In the afternoon, enter the Jokhang Monastery, an important center of Tibetan Buddhism, and observe pilgrims following the kora route. Continue through the lanes ofBarkor Kora, with time for sweet tea, local conversation and browsing market stalls.

Good to know: Photography is not permitted inside monasteries, and permission should be requested before photographing pilgrims. Do not swim or fish in holy lakes, avoid sensitive political topics, follow Barkhor Street clockwise and stay on known routes. International visitors must travel within Tibet under the required local arrangements; ask your guide whenever a rule or custom is unclear.

Transfer with the group to Lhasa airport or railway station, then fly to Shanghai. The Shanghai guide will meet you at the airport with a YUNSKY sign and take you to the hotel.

Note: The free airport drop off time in Lhasa is as follows on the day the itinerary closes.  Pick up tourists at around 8:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm

Begin by walking through the residential lanes of Shikumen, where the area's architecture and daily routines reveal an older side of Shanghai.

Continue to Yuyuan Garden, a classical garden in the city center, and browse the neighboring Yuyuan Bazaar.

After an à la carte lunch, visit the City History Museum beneath The Oriental Pearl TV Tower, then ride to the tower's second sphere for an elevated view. Drive through Lujiazui to see Shanghai's Pudong skyline.

Finish at the Bund, where the historic waterfront faces the modern towers across the Huangpu River.
