After you land in Beijing, meet your guide in the arrivals area where a YUNSKY sign will be displayed. Transfer to the hotel, check in and use the rest of the day to rest or explore nearby on your own.

Beijing City View

Begin at the Temple of Heaven, once used for imperial ceremonies and now also a gathering place for local residents practicing tai chi, dancing and other morning activities.

Continue into Beijing Hutong by rickshaw. Walk through the narrow lanes, visit a local courtyard home and learn how daily life has evolved in these traditional communities.

Enjoy an à la carte Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, with dishes selected to introduce a range of regional flavors.

Walk across Tian'anmen Square before entering the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Allow more than two hours to explore its ceremonial courtyards and main halls with your guide.

Notes:  At night, a lively and dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater or the Acrobatic Show can be your optional night entertainment.

Drive about two hours to Mutianyu Great Wall, a well-preserved Great Wall section whose origins date to the mid-sixth century. A round-trip cable car is included, giving you time to walk between watchtowers and take in the mountain landscape.

After lunch, return to Beijing and stop for exterior views of the Bird Nest and Water Cube in the Olympic Park. Your guide can also suggest places to try Beijing roast duck independently in the evening.

Explore the Summer Palace, the imperial garden built around Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. Walk the Long Corridor and, when available, take the optional boat ride for a different view of the grounds.

Following lunch, transfer to Beijing West Railway Station for a second-class high-speed train to Xi'an. The journey takes about 5 to 5.5 hours; your local guide will meet you and take you to the hotel.

Walk along Xi'an City Wall and look across the old city from its broad ramparts. Bicycle rental is optional and not included.

Visit the Terracotta Warriors after seeing how replica figures are made at a pottery workshop. After lunch, explore the excavation pits with your guide and learn how the army was created to guard China's first emperor.

Return to central Xi'an for a stop at Bell Tower Square.

Discover the food stalls and shops of the Muslim Quarter, then enter Gao's Courtyard to see its traditional architecture and a shadow-puppet performance.

Continue to the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda; the 12:00 fountain show is subject to the day's operating schedule. Afterward, board a second-class high-speed train to Chengdu, a journey of about four hours. Your local guide will meet you on arrival and accompany you to the hotel.

Visit  Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in the morning, allowing about two to three hours to observe pandas and learn about the center's conservation work. After lunch, travel to  Mt. Leshan and visit the Giant Buddha either on foot or by the boat option described in the itinerary.

Notes: You may check with your local guide and Sichuan opera is recommended to be your optional night entertainment.

After lunch, ascend The Oriental Pearl TV Tower and visit the Shanghai City History Development Museum. The observation level in the second sphere provides wide views across Lujiazui and the Huangpu River.

Finish at the Bund, where historic waterfront buildings face Shanghai's contemporary skyline across the river.
