One-Day Kunming City Tour

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby in the morning and depart for Western Hill & Dragon Gate, then continue to Huating Temple. After lunch, visit the Grand View Tower. Return to the hotel after the tour.

The Western Hill, lies on the western shore of Kunming's Dianchi Lake amid evergreen woodland. Also called Green Peacock Mountain, Western Hill rises above 2,500 meters and comprises five mountains extending for more than 40 km. From a distance, the ridgeline resembles a reclining figure, which has led to its ‘Sleeping Beauty' nickname.

Huating Temple is located at Xishan Mountain Forest Park in Xishan District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. Unlike many temples, it faces east rather than south. First built in 1063 during the Song Dynasty, the rectangular complex covers 12,000 square meters and follows a symmetrical, enclosed-courtyard plan. Huating Temple is Yunnan Province's largest temple and is listed as a Kunming municipal cultural-relic protection unit.

Grand View Tower (Daguan Park) stands at the end of Daguan Road in southwest Kunming. Set beside Dianchi Lake, the tower looks across the water toward Western Hill.
