[14:00-16:30] Continue to the Temple of Heaven, the ceremonial complex where emperors prayed for good harvests.

[08:30-12:30] Drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Choose to hike after arrival or take the cable car up and walk along the restored section.

[12:30-13:30] Have lunch at a local Chinese restaurant near the Great Wall.

[13:30-16:30] Drive back to Beijing and view the exteriors of the Bird Nest and Water Cube, two landmark venues from the Beijing Olympic Games.

[16:30-17:30] Return to the hotel. Free-time options include a foot massage, Houhai bars or Sanlitun Bar Street.

[10:00-11:30] Travel to the Drum Tower area for a Hutong Tour by rickshaw and a closer look at the city's traditional lanes.

[11:30-14:30] Continue to the Summer Palace, where a boat ride on Kunming Lake is included. Lunch is arranged at a nearby restaurant.

After lunch, transfer to the station for the high-speed train to Xi'an. Your Xi'an guide will meet you at Xi'an North Railway Station and accompany you to the hotel.

[09:00-09:30] Meet your guide at the hotel and begin exploring ancient Xi'an.

[09:30-12:30] Drive to the Terracotta Warriors to see the excavated soldiers, horses and chariots in battle formation. The shuttle bus is included, followed by a pottery-figurine factory visit.

[12:30-14:00] Lunch is arranged near the Terracotta Warriors scenic area.

[14:00-17:00] Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and its north-square fountain area, then continue to the Ancient City Wall. Bicycle rental on the wall is optional and excluded from the tour price.

[17:00-17:30] Return to the hotel. The optional Tang Dynasty Show with Dinner can be considered for the evening.

Terracotta Warriors

Take the five-hour high-speed train to Chongqing. Meet your local guide at the station, transfer to Chaotianmen Wharf and board the Victoria cruise, scheduled to sail at 9:00 p.m.

Spend the day cruising the Yangtze. A visit to Fengdu may be offered depending on river conditions, while Fengdu Shuanguishan National Park is the scheduled shore excursion. A captain's welcome reception is arranged onboard, and the optional evening program is the Feng Yan San Guo “Rommance of the Three Kingdoms” Show.

[06:30-08:30] Early-bird coffee and tea, Tai Chi practice and buffet breakfast are scheduled onboard.

[09:00-13:30] Join the morning shore excursion to Fengdu Shuanguishan National Park , or choose the additional Fengdu Ghost City excursion at extra cost. Buffet lunch is served onboard.

[16:00-21:30] Attend the late-afternoon captain's welcome reception and buffet dinner. In the evening, the additional FengYan SanGuo “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” Show shore excursion is available.

[08:15-12:30] Disembark at Maoping cruise terminal, visit the Three Gorges Dam Site, and then transfer to the passenger center in downtown Yichang.

Take the high-speed train to Shanghai. Your Shanghai guide will meet you at the station and transfer you to the hotel.

[12:30-13:30] Have an à la carte lunch at a popular local restaurant; the dining room may be lively.

[13:30-16:30] Explore Yuyuan Garden, then browse Shanghai Old Street and Nanjing Road for local souvenirs. Finish with a walk along the Bund and its historic waterfront architecture.

[16:30-17:30] Return to the hotel. Ask your guide about the optional Acrobatic Show, including the ERA production.
